Hey UG, I've been wondering which OD would best work as a solo boost/ tightening gain?

Boss SD-1
DOD 250 overdrive
Digitech Bad Monkey

Also, which one has the best components? I plan on modding it later down the road (to save up more ya know).

Any other suggestions are welcome and thanks for everything.

Yo wassup, I'm trying to expand my musical horizons if you know what I mean, so can anybody reccomend me some cool Juggalo jazz?

Id suggest the DOD

Especially if you have a decent tube amp, that thing just rips.

I have an Arion MTE-1 Tubulator that used to be $10 on MF. I bought 3 of them, but I think they're up to $30 now. From the ones you listed, I say Bad Monkey.

Yeah I can attest to the bad monkey

I liked it better then the original tube screamer

Supposidly the Bad monkey is quite good for the price, the others im not too sure on though.

Roll down the volume for rhythm play, turn up to 10 for solos.

Yeah, but suppose my leads sound a little thin?

The Digitech Bad Monkey is very good as a booster, but if you want something really cheap, cheack for the Danelectro Fab Overdrive.
Besides being a guitar player, I'm a big fan of the guitar. I love that damn instrument. Steve Vai

+1 for the MXR micro amp, although they are a bit pricey, so like RHCP said, used would be best.

MXR Micro Amp for the win. Although with any OD there is usually a level knob you can adjust.
