Hi :]

basically i have a Fender Strat, with a foating bridge. But for sum reason that harmonics on the 5th fret are really weak, the 7th and 12th are strong tho. just wondering how i can rectify this many thanks

They vary fret to fret, 7th and 12th should be the strongest though, yeah.

5th fret harmonics are naturally weaker than the 7th and 12th. It just takes a bit of practice to find the "sweet spot" on your guitar. Make sure that your intonation is set up correctly, too.

Yeah im sure its an intonation problem. but at moment i cant afford to get it done just wondering how i would go about doing it myself? many thanks

If you search the site their are lessons on setting intonation and adjusting a floating bridge
