Got mp3 player. Deleted all crappy music from when I was in high school. Need good music to put on. Pink Floyd Smashing Pumpkins Wolfmother on it right now. Suggestions? As long as its a deviation of rock and the band members demonstrate talent I'll enjoy it. I'm not picky. No pop, no rap, no hip hop, no country. Wise ones, speak to me. Specifics. I don't want to collect discography's. I want the most noteworthy songs/albums

I'd say country or bluegrass would be pretty difficult, for being inbred is a pre-requisite

Octavarium is good. Scenes From A Memory is better. And somewhere in the middle is SDoIT. Actually, I like all of their albums. Train of Thought is supposed to be the heaviest one.

But yes, Dream Theater. Also, some of Devin Townsend's stuff is quite good. Excellent guitarist that one. Not as good as Petrucci, but quite good.
