haha, it's on the North York/Scarborough border. Next time your on the subway. Take a finger and put it on York Mills station. and put another on Victoria Park. Draw imaginary lines to where they intersect and that's me.

I'm into Grind-core, Metal, Hardcore, all the other "cores", a little punk (NOFX) older stuff like Primus and Mike Patton's bands (Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, Fantomas, Peeping Tom...and so on). I'm VERY into Japanese Noise-core, more specifically Melt Banana (my fav. band)

I have been playing guitar for something like 13 years now. I'm 22. You're right about it being hard to find decent musicians in this area. Everything has to be "urban" these days....it's a shame really.

Hah, you sound like me, except I'm from more near Barrie, I like mostly grindcore, hardcore and emo (but not emptyveemo). And I like rap too (and alot of non-rock based music, like industrial and techno).

Anyways, to the OP, if your school offers guitar as a course you should take it, it's a great way to meet people who play.

rule of thumb is whoever is actually looking in here, a 14 year old will NEVER get into any shows. Im in T.O and i would never with a 100 foot pole touch this.

I would, but I'm from Mississauga, and I don't have transportation. Good luck though.

No, but I've helped organize them. I live in the middle of nowhere, there are no clubs in hicktowns, you have to put on shows yourself. I'm telling him if he wants to make things happen, he can.
