Don't even think about trying an 11 or 12, I tried both and:

1. They sounded terrible
2. They barely fit

A friend of mine plays 54-13's or something like that on his paul. He just let a music shop have it for a week setting it up for it, though, haha.
Guitar:
PRS Tremonti

Amp:
Bluetron Bluedrive
Ducted Port 1x12
Jensen Mod 12-110

Wants:
59/09's or Standard T&B

13's eh? I may give that a shot. Are they the biggest you could safely put onto my guitar?

In standard tuning, I would put that as a limit before it starts acting funny.

I've never gone so high, so this will definitely be a new experience. How do you think the big strings will act with the EMGS (81/85)?

If you go from 9's to13's on a neck that has been set up for 9's you will need to do a truss rod adjustment.
It don't matter what you play ..just tune it and play

Gotcha. I've never done that so I'll probably have to have someone do it.
