Hey guys today I visited a guitar shop and spotted a blue Fender Telecaster for around 450 CDN (I believe it was used). This was perfect as I was planning on buying a Tele as my next guitar and the price of this one was perfect but the problem is I have no idea what model it is. I was able to copy this off of the headstock, M25190248. If anyone can find out what kind it is I would greatly appreciate it.
My guess is it's a mexican standard. All the mexican Fenders have an M before the serial number. If i'm right, then you're getting a good price. It's not a steal or anything, but that is a bit less than you would pay for a standard tele at say, Long & Mcquade.
Thanks for the site but it doesn't have the serial number the Telecaster had. I'll probably make another trip down to the store but if it is a standard I will definitely pick it up.

The serial number doesn't seem right. You have M25190248 which I believe should be MZ5190248 which would make it a Mexican tele made in about 2006. Other then date and country of manufacture that is all you can get from a serial number.
Yeah I probably mixed up the Z and 2, so the guitar is definitely a Standard Telecaster then?
