id get the FR strat or the EX 400, your best bet by far, if you wanna be versatile, is the strat

strap an emg on the hum and two noiseless and your set for anything, not shittin ya

EDIT:

but in my opinion; you shouldnt get a name brand if you want awesome stuff at a low price.
id search ebay and others before i do anything.

you can usually find some real good stuff, and if theres anything wrong with it(intonation, action, truss rod...etc) you can fix it and still have some left over cash, thats just me though....i like to save money :p

i got a semi-hollow for $450 USD that sounds better than most 335/337s ive played, feels way better and only needed to be set up once

Not it don't, it's got a Licensed copy.
Its got emgs

EMG HZ's - the passive ones, although it has the afterburner circuit too, I don't know how that set up compares to a straight set of actives though.
its american

Sort of...the highway ones are either Mexican parts assembled in the US, or US parts assembled in Mexico...something like that anyway.

I'd go for the LTD out of those 4
Actually called Mark!
