So I just got a Marshall Dsl 401 and im pretty new to tube amps and I was just wondering how much would it cost to buy new tubes for my amp? And i dont get it..when you're replacing your tubes are you replacing all your tubes because i've heard people talking about replacing their tubes and then replacing their power tubes after, so in your amp you have 2 different kinds of tubes...is that right?

I'd just like some info because im confused...

Thanks a lot.

i've had my eye on the mesa boogie line, my price range is under $600.

maybe you could buy a picture of one for 600, and just pretend for awhile...

there's preamp tubes (smaller ones) and power amp tubes. the individual channels each have their own preamp, and raising the volume on an individ channel as opposed to the master volume is controlling the preamp tubes.

oh and tubes for the whole thing are like $100 for simple ones, what they told me when i bought my TSL602
