does anyone else listen to him? i like his style, and i know wooten was heavily influenced by him. i think hes a pretty funky dude. let me know what you think, and maybe some tips on his style if you know it

I love Stanley. I think his best stuff is on upright, more specifically on the album "The Rite Of Strings" with Al Di Meola and Jean-Luc Ponty.
He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt.
He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would fully suffice.

Yes he owns. Definitely one of the most influential bassists, and someone who has done an extreme amount in advancing performance and setting the bar on bass, for electric and upright.

Does anyone know where you can hear his new group with Bela Fleck and Jean-Luc Ponty?

yea hes great. i love his work with return to forever(what a killer group btw). his solo work is pretty good too. i like school days and journey to love they are both great albums.
