Mine, though it might not be a real album, Yessongs is probably my favorite.
In the court of the crimson king(crimson) , selling england by the pound (Genesis) and relayer (yes) are also up there.

definetly scenes from a memory..........Also pink floyd's animals and wish you were here have grown on me alot in the more recent months, tho ive had these albums for quite a while now

Virgil Donati - On The Virg: Serious Young Insects

This is my all-time favorite prog-rock album. The writing is like like Planet X only better (no surprise since Donati is the drummer for PX, and writes alot of the PX tunes). Brett Garsed and TJ Helmerich are both on it too.

Prog metal? It was actually pretty good, I'm not sure how well it stands up to the older artists, but I might check them out. Tell me about some other albums.(dream theatre, opeth etc.)

Lately i've been obsessed with Magma, especially their album Mekanik Destruktiw Kommandoh. Completely apeshit crazy, but some of the most fascinatingly original music i've ever heard.

Some other prog favorites are Uncle Meat by Zappa and Discipline by King Crimson.

Who ever recomended me close to the edge and Tales from topographic oceans probably dosent know that I wrote the reveiws to those albums.
Anyways, Ill check those out, now what do you consider the best Yes album? Me Relayer or Yessongs (Im not sure if you want to call that an album)

I don't know if the traditionalists would consider them prog, but I rather enjoyed Blood Mountian by Mastodon. Also, Symphony X.

It's ok, I really enjoy them sometimes but their work is uneven imo.
