Well I want a new amp and probably pedal.

I was thinking about getting the Crate 65 watt amp, there was a lot of good reviews it has decent effects and all that plus i dont need more then 65 watts as of now.

I dont know what to get for a pedal and I kind of was gonna go for the Digitech RP250 cause the info looks decent + the reviews are good. Not trying to go for an all out amazing pedal just something for home and crap.

What are your opinions and maybe perhaps better? Either that amp and the pedal or up to a 300 dollar amp by itself.

Thanks :]

My advice would be to buy the best amp you can afford. I would suggest http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Vox-Valvetronix-AD30VT-30W-Guitar-Combo?sku=481959 for the styles you just mentioned. That will do all of those styles very well. Since you will have some cash leftover i would say get a single stomp box. Maybe a distortion pedal of some sort or a metal pedal since thats the only place that amp might lack a little. Im pretty sure you would be able to afford the digitech rp50 w/ what you have leftover but i wont suggest it because i used to have an rp200 and it was utter crap so yeah, maybe just a metal, distortion or overdrive pedal in that price range.

The vox is great and dont worry about the knobs. Theyre far enough in the cab that it would pretty much literally take someone w/ a scredriver to break off the knobs. Your actually more likley to break the knobs on the crate.
