Im looking for a new amp in a 500-600 price rage.
Tube would be nice.

Ive looked into Peavey valvekings yet to try one just heard some bad and good stuff about them.

Id like to have some input on which amps I should try out befor I buy.

I play bands like Alice in chains, Nirvana, Creed/Alterbridge, Bullet for my Valentine, so mainly a Heavy Grunge sound.

Thanks for the help.

you might laugh, but you really really cant go wrong with a Fender deville 2x12 or 4x10.. I have a marshall jcm800, mesa heartbreaker, and a fender deville combo, the fender hands down so far has been the most reliable- the internal distortion isnt so great but they're loud, solid, look good, cheap, comes with wheels. You might be able to get the Hot Rod Deluxe which is a 1x12 version of the deville, 30lbs lighter, same sound and a bit smaller.

DOnt Buy a marshall AVT or MG.. you will regret that.
