You keep seeing songs like KoC, SMBH, and Hysteria showing up on games, but I want Micro Cuts on either Rock Band or Sing Star. I want to see numerous masses of kids staring at the tv wondering what the hell they're supposed to do.

Kurt Cobain and Anthony Keidis.

EDIT: Turn this into a "STFU KURT WAS A SUICIDAL PRICK HE DESERVED TO ****IN DIE!" and i'll cry. so don't.

Has anyone mentioned David Gilmour and Roger Waters? They go at the top of my list. Brilliant lyricists.

Also Mark Knopfler.

And also the guy from the Flaming Lips (sorry, I don't know his name) just for writing the line
"Do you realise that everyone you know someday will die"

EDIT: How could I forget PETE FOCKING TOWNSHEND

Kurt cobain wtf? I think Mozart, Brahms, Carl Orff, and Eminem are awesome song writers.

Mozart, Brahms, and Orff weren't songwriters. They were awesome, though.

Bob Dylan, Billy Joel, Randy Newman, Paul Simon

More recently, Damien Rice and Jeff Buckley.

Songwriter by definition is a person who writes a song. Are you saying Mozart, Brahms, and Orff didn't write songs because of the lack of words? Poets and songwriters aren't the same thing, Frank Zappa is still a songwriter on his Hot Rats album, even though there is one song with any words to it. But anyway..
