what do you guys think is THE best delay pedal. just so people like me about to buy one know where to go.

i've been looking at the boss dd-6, dd-20 and ehx memory man.

I'm going to go with the DD-6, it has the most options in a delay stompbox that I've ever seen.

The DD-20 and Line 6 DL-4 are awesome. The Memory Man is good, but imo digital delay is the way to go

Ibanez AD-9 Anaolg Delay

I love that pedal so much.

D'you have one?

I'm thinking I need a delay pedal soon.

Probably the Echoplex or some kind of tape delay, but if you're talking about affordable, EHX Deluxe Memory Man all the way.

Hmm, well I've got a Digitech one, which I chose over any of the Boss models I looked at. I can't remember why, but I thought it'd be the better buy.

It's amusing when compared to UG, because over at HRI, most everyone takes the DD-20 over the EHX, Czar, Diamond, Fulltone, etc.

The Memory man is a great pedal with a fantastic tone, and so is the DD-20. Analog delay's sound good but are limited in their ability. A really good digital delay pedal is the way to go IMO. Also IMO, is out of all the effects pedals, delay's benefit the most from digital technology. Analog delay's are good for subtle effect on your playing while digital delay's are better when the delay is a big part of the guitar part. Personally I use a DD-20 and I see no reason why I would ever need anything else

Memory Man but the DD-6 would be my 2nd choice.
