hi, i'm looking to buy a new bass amp. i currently have a crappy little practice amp, and my band may soon be playing some gigs and stuff so i need a new bass amp. I play mostly pop-punk stuff blink 182 etc and was wondering if anyone had any ideas of a good bass amp for no more than £200-£300

thanks

Look at the ashdown Mag series, gallien krueger, hartke and laney. Stay away from behringer, prices are tempting but they suck

try a bassman 250/210

I don't really understand why basses have 24 frets, I mean, I've never seen a bassist playing more than the 12 fret.

Ashdown MAG and Peavey TNT are the best in that price range, IMO. The Peavey is great for tone shaping and the Ashdown has a great sound.
