I have an ENGL screamer 50, and I love the sound it gives, but it would be nice to have something that I can adjust to get the perfect sound out of them (for when doing covers etc.).

Really, my question is: Is it worth getting one for some more versitility? And will it effect my tone too? The tone of the amp is great I just want a more varied distortion.

Thanks

It'll be able to boost the amp more, getting more gain, if that's what you want to do. It won't add it's own distortion sound though, it'll boost your own.

So would I be able to get more than just a Crunch, soft lead and uberdist sound from my amp?
Would It improve the versitility or not.

Thanks for your reply.
