self-explanatory... add the province/city they wandered out from if you want to.. I just want to see if anyone has any input.

my choices

Overrated: Sloan, Halifax, Nova Scotia
They only made it because they have incredibly poppy lyrics and inventive song titles such as "G turns to D".

Underrated: The Bonaduces, Winnipeg, Manitoba
maybe a little too esoteric for some people's taste, so they didn't really make it past college radio.

Overrated- Sum 41, Simple Plan.

Underrated- Lotus Child- an indie band, out of, I believe Vancouver.

I agree, Rush are underrated, and Our Lady Peace in my opinion cos hardly anyone knows about them in England.

Treble Charger are possibly the most underrated though

Strapping Young Lad is incredibly underrated. Like wtf. Sure a lot of their songs sound the same, but this band is the sonic equivalent of being punched in the face twelve times.

Strapping Young Lad, Protest The Hero (say what you will about the last one, but, c'mon -- the guitar work is actually good).

Rush is intensely underrated in the classic rock/prog rock/metal worlds. Even when they are the kings of prog, all the credit goes to like Pink Floyd - who are not prog, but psychaedelic - and Yes.

Stompin' Tom, Razor, Annihilator, Sacrifice, Rammer, etc are underrated.

but lets see...

overrated - billy talent, danko jones, nickelback, our lady peace, skinny puppy, rush

underrated - apostle of hustle, broken social scene, feist, death from above 1979, destroyer, tokyo police club, wolf parade

eh, probably mroe.

w00t im the first one to say this!

I say 3 Inches Of Blood are HIGHLY underrated. I think alot of people dont like them cause of the high pitched lead singer.

But i love them.

Over rated would have to be like..Nickelback or something (canadian arent they?)

well Rush and Neil Young both rule.

and I think Rush will be underrated until they are widely accepted as the greatest thing to ever walk this Earth.

and Neil Young's a damn good guitar player and songwriter.

Fuck the Facts, I believe, are quite underrated, along with Bad Trippe.

I would just like to say that any band form Winnipeg is brutal. I've heard a lot of them and can't say I liked any of them.

So Over rated ANY Winnipeg band
Under rated- Rush it's gotta be so few people outside of music have even heard of them.
