the Gibson standard? Epiphone Standard? Which one do you mean? (though I could take a good guess, I might be wrong).

Anyways, I don't know, if you're talking epiphone, I prefer the customs to standards, they seem abit better built and aren't much more. Worth the extra IMO.

^Yeah they're really good guitars, just annoys me how expensive they are over here (bearing in mind I wouldn't buy below the 400's, agathis..... ).

Yeah if you want the les paul shape and great tone and features for the price the EC's by ESP/LTD are awsome, I want one so bad but It will be a while . If you actually want a les paul then I think a gibson lp standard would be best, I have heard bad things of faded/studios
