ok so ive got this beautful First Act (ha ha ha i know no flaming) but the nut at the top broke how much would a new one run me? i kinda wanna replace it with a locking nut but i wouldnt know how... any suggestions or help?

Do you have fine tuners i.e on a FR? If not then it's pretty pointless have a locking nut.

i wouldnt suggest a locking nut as long as you dont have a floyd rose installed

but y would i not get a locking nut would that not keep it in tune longer?

get a normal nut and locking tuners - it'll be much easier to install than a locking nut. you can get fairly good locking tuners at reasonable prices
