Hmm i dont know realy how to explain this but i hear some gutarists playing and they have a super wet tone, that the only term i can think of. how can i get this tone, ive tried messing around with some of my gear but cant figure it out, so i came here.

an example would be like i cant quit you baby - led zepplin

thanks zac

I would tell you look into analog effects...or anything David Gilmour used to record Dark Side. If that record would have been all up to him....It would probably be the "wettest" album ever. Too bad Roger Waters wanted it dry.

And might I say...You have such lovely gear!!!

It's most likely reverb.

Get some reverb and try Treble at 8, Middle at 4 and Bass at 2.

That's what I do to play surf stuff, and I think it sounds very "wet". Great term by the way.

its most likely chorus but could be used with various effects. chorus, a delay and a univibe can all get a "wet" sound. reverb doesnt sound very wet to me hehe but it could be added with the other effects to create a nice sound

I always thought the intro to Aenima by tool had a really wet, splashy sound. You just do it by playing on the EAD for a bit then make a quick stroke across the open D G and B strings.

From what you describe I assume you mean chorus.
