Hey I'm new here

I recently ordered a used EMG DG-20 pup set, and I've been looking around for instructions on how to install it appropriately, since it doesn't come with the original instruction sheet

I found something really odd though.

here is a pic of the exact one I ordered (it's still shipping over here btw):

^notice the really long white wire hanging off the EXG/SPC circuit, I highlighted the ends with circles. ^

and below is a extremely low res blurry, wiring diagram I found. I highlighted the ends of the white wire hanging off the EXG/SPC circuit. [apparently the white wire goes to the output jack]

here is the actual pic I took that from:

, the instructions are sitting right next to a new DG20 set in the box.

and NOW to the weird part:

This is a pic of the DG20 wiring diagram I found on the EMG site itself:

Notice I highlighted the EXG/SPC circuit in green. But there is NO long white wire hanging off the end of it. And not to mention the EXG/SPC circuit is HUGE and not "squarish", like it has been in the past 2 pics.

It's almost like it's built different than the one I ordered o_O

So yeah... I'm extremely confused. Can someone please help me figure out how to install the DG20 in the first pic?

Or can someone please find a decent resolution pic of the blurry diagram?

I'm so clueless

(sry I'm kinda new to the whole EXG/SPC pots and the stereo output jack/ etc.)

I'm 99% sure that it's grounding the sheilding on the pickguard. Other than that, it may just be a random wire.

So... soldering the white wire to the output jack will ground the shielding on the pickguard? (i'm just going by what the blurry diagram kinda looks like it says :P

Anyone got an idea what sends the stereo signal to the output jack?

(actually, anyone ever installed one of these before?) thx

What exactly is it soldered to? If it's on the PC board, can you trace it to wherever it goes?
