has this been done before? any way, which fake bands (in movies and stuff) are your favorite? they don't need to have toured or to have put out any albums...just as long as they were mentioned somewhere and you've heard a song or at least someone holding an instrument and pretending to play it... yeah. so, favorite fake bands..

mine...

Hard Core Logo...woohoo!!

EDIT:

here's a list of some fake bands to inspire everyone, even if we all know Spinal Tap pwns..

All I know is the name of the movie was the same name of a real band, although not exactly related to eachother.

If you can name the movie that'd be great.

The story line is about a kid that's writing for rollingstone, he goes on tour with the band in their bus, at the end they think they're going to die in a plane crash, but the plain stabilizes, when the plane is going down one of the members admits he's gay and they all say stuff about how they feel, the kid ends up putting it into the article, the band members get upset so I think he decided to remove it from his article.

Spinal Tap... their amps go up to 11, no contest.

also since their songs are decent and the band and producers actually wrote and played them they are decent musicians even if they didn't start in 1964... or go through 27 members total.

Citizen Dick is also good...a creation of Cameron Crowe, who invented Stillwater.

May we say that he is the best creator of fictional bands ever?
