I'm building a 2x12 cab and have decided on V30's, but the problem I am Having is what ohm speakers to buy. My head has a 4, 8 and 16 ohm selector switch, so anything is possible. Which would be my best bet for both? Thanks.

I'd say 4 ohm speakers, as they will work with the other impedences (sp?) and I'm pretty sure that 4 is the lowest impedance guitar amps work on.
apparently UG's only type O-

Buy two 8 ohm speakers and run them in parallel then the impedance is 4 ohms

get 2 4 ohms and run them in series to get 8. 8 is about as standard as possible. works well with other stuff as well.

Cheap amps are "that bad". They suck up your tone like cocaine at Kate Moss' party.

I've never really seen an amp that couldn't put out 8 ohms. the last one I saw was the Fender FM series, they only put out at 4 ohms.

either 2 4 ohms in series, or two 16 ohms in parallel, or.. 2 8 ohms in series, with 2 more 8 ohms in series, and wire those two in parallel.

I'm gonna do the two 16's in parallel, because the V30's don't come in 4 Ohm (to do a series). Thanks for the help.
