Ah! The neck of my Schecter 006 Elite has warped! Its just been sitting in the stand, how could it have happened? Also, is there any way to fix it? Its a set neck (glued in). What can I do?

Well, if it's become warped it's probably to do with temperature / humidity. I'm not quite sure how to fix it though. =\

Best I can say is to take it into a music store, and get them to have a look at it.

It's warping, if it was the truss rod, it would be bending the way the string tension pulls it, if it's bending to the right side, its got to be warping.

Pics or it never happened.

On the other hand, bring it to a shop? I don't see what else you could do..

flickr you might

Oranges are actually a revolution though - they're the next step from Rectos IMO.

u can measure the Low E by fretting that string at the first fret and at the same time, fretting it at the last fret, where the neck meets the body.

with both places held look at the gap in the middle frets. how high up is the string from the fretwire there. about 2 picks high?

then measure again this time on the high e side. how much middle gap is there? more or less?

I can't get any pics up at the moment. Best way to describe it? Hold your right hand out flat, palm facing the roof. Now, tilt it so the thumb is gently angled toward the ground, just slightly. Thats what it looks like looking down the neck from the bridge. Panic?

he seems to mean that the neck is twisted like a screw when looking down the neck rather than bent 'banana' shape which could be corrected by truss rod adjustment. i never heard of this before.

yeah, i wanted to see how bad. that's why i told him to measure low then high e. see if the string is closer on one side, due to a twist.

ull usually see something like that with extreme heat, leaving it in a trunk, on a high vent.
something like that.

a good luthier might be able to fix it, otherwise look to spend a decent wad of cash getting the neck replaced.
