I learned EVERYTHING from UG. Not CyberFret, not BlackBelt: UG; from tab-reading, to scales & improvisation. These forums are the best way to learn: the members being awesome teachers.

Especially for fans of Tool, APC, Avant-Garde, Ambient music, rock instrumentals, and fans of music in general. Will not disappoint.

www.guitarprinciples.com is THE best site. Guaranteed you will get the best, most
trustable info for learning the guitar best practices there. The information is coming
from a master player AND teacher. The forums generally are posted to from those
who are VERY serious about becoming better at guitar.

As far as UG goes.... Well, it's entertaining. It's informative as much as you think
mostly teenagers (and younger) with an average of a year experience dispensing
"expert" opinions and advice is informative. Personally, most of the advice, if not
flat out wrong, is generally useless. But, there are a *few* who know what they're
talking about if you can sift through the crap.
