thickest e, next a, ect. thinest g.
that next tuning is known as "drop c"
that and drop d are in alot of metal these days.
drop d is when u drop the e down to d.
drop c is when u take drop d and drop all the strings by 1 full step.

Standard tuning is EADG (just like a guitar but without the top 2 strings)
No idea about that other tuning, it looks very strange.

Edit: Yeah the other one is drop C. It looked strange because for some reason you've written it backwards.

^ Except there is rarely ever a B or an E string on bass.

5 stringers with a B are more common than with a C!

CGCF is Standard D, but with a dropped C. Standard D would be DGCF.

^since When!?

Since always! BEADG is so much more common than EADGC. Although if you listen to a lot of funk and jazz, you'll only really know 5 stringers to have the C.

But check out most guitar websites, and the extra string is about 95% of the time a B

Every 5 string bass I've ever played has a low b string rather than a high c. I didn't even know you could get 5 strings with a c string.

It depends how your string the bass or get it custom setup for a high C. It's used alot in Flamenco bass (talk to Jaco de Lucia about that one) and ^ stringers are set up with a low B and high C as standard.

^Ohhhhhh nonononono that's not what I mean I mean my teacher put a HIGH B on his instead of a high C.

That's cos he's a n00b and was tuning his bass like a guitar Makes no difference though, just means that you have to think about fingering a bit more

Yeah he's like he learned all of his arpeggios and scales and stuff with the 4th there and he said to learn it again would have just been brutal.
