I just tried making a talk box and I failed A LOT! I took a box, lined it with foam, put a heater line from the back of the box, sealed it off and ran it into a mic. I then plugged the mic into a stereo to amplify it... It didn't seem to work at all! I tried putting the hose back into my mouth as far as I felt comfortable and still with no success. Has anyone ever tried this before?

Nope.

You can get ones for around $100. Do that.

^I'd let a pro look at it. Once you get into the technicalities of screws...well, it's just a place you don't want to be, friend.

Why, when I could make one?! Why buy a new part, when you can buy a rebuilt kit for 3 bucks? :P I'm not using it in a show, so there's no need to buy one... I'm thinking I need a cone from the speaker to direct the sound better and a larger hose.

Sweet! I'll check it out when I'm at my PC again... My Mac is kinda shitty with YouTube right now. *cant wait till his new RAM gets here!*
