I went to an Opeth concert last year and wore a bright blue hollister polo. people looked at me funny.

Admitting you actually own hollister clothing is not something I'd be doing tbh
#4
yes, but it was more like just a plain collared shirt

I have, I felt like the next Giorgio Armani, of course if someday I go to a Opeth concert I'll use my Opeth t-shirt (The only band t-shirt I have).

Edit: It wasn't Hollister, though.

i'm surprised you didnt get beat up for that. but you really shouldnt wear that crap to an Opeth concert...

or any other Metal concert.

It wasn't Hollister but I wore a striped collared shirt to Dragonforce and All That Remains. It was kind of funny but not a big deal. The funniest was going to HIM because it was me in a nice shirt in the middle of a bunch of fat stinky goths. HIM fans are generally doofuses but I like the music.

The price has nothing to do with it, I'd hate it if it was cheap, I don't have a problem with hollister, just 98% of all polos, and 99% of all cloths that have the clothing company's name sprawled across the front, if I buy a shirt I write **** above the companie name, or sucks below it.
#20
I dislike how people think that clothing defines who someone is. It should have never gotten this way. Just because I wear a black shirt every day doesn't make me "goth." I wear the color, because I think it looks best on me.

I need to do that sometime

who cares what you wear. It is your love of music. I love Opeth but i wear Hollister. I wouldn't give a shit what other people think. Anyways, the clothes at Hollister are made better than some Wal-Mart brand shirts. I'm not dogging on someone who wears something different but i hate when people say you are just paying for the brand, which is not the case. Point of the story, wear whatever the hell you want
#23
i wore an Abercrombie & Fitch(someone gave it to me) shirt to some metal gig, i woke up the next day in a ditch and my ass was bleeding.

oh, and polo shirts are really ugly, seriously.

I don't know anything about brand names nor do I care. I hate labelled products though. I refuse to buy something that has 'BEST T-SHIRT COMPANY EVAR!' written on the front. I just buy something that looks nice and classy and is of good quality and has no trademarked crap written on it because I refuse to endorse their products. Is Hollister that girly girl clothing store? My, you are a rebel.
#25
A while back at an Amon Amarth concert, some kid had a polo shirt on with the collar popped. I just thought it was goofy, but if people are gonna judge you on your clothing then...they're dumb.
#26
**** all that rip-off Hollister/AE/Aero bullshit. I go for cheap, and whatever the hell i want. $20 is the limit for any piece of clothing.. except shoes..

Metal shouldn't be about fashion.

true, but it is a part of it. You've never heard when people say that metal is a lifestyle? bc I have.

As far as holister and clothing and stuff goes, there's nothing wrong with wearing nice clothes. A clean looking collared shirt will take you alot further in different places than a simple emo black shirt will. (ie dates, meetings, job interviews....hello people) It's called dress casual, and when you kiddies finally grow up you might own a few.

What is this "hollister" some kind of rich kids wear ?
If your parents never had children, chances are, you wont either.

Because you had you had to make a thread and tell us what you wore to a concert. Why would it be that important? Although I've never shopped there because I can't be arsed to spend that much money on poor quality and ugly looking clothing, the stuff I've seen on some people at school looks like something taken out of a kindergardener's closet. But that's just me, I'm the type of person that'd fit in perfectly with 80s classical metal scene. Just wear whatever you like, and dress in what makes you feel good. I think it's ghey how some people try so hard to look badass. It just fails. Clothes don't make you who you are. Actually clothing is just pointless (unless it's winter).

To the comment above about people wearing black and dating ugly chicks and cutting bc of it...thats total bullshit..I wear black..and I have no trouble getting good looking chicks..and I sure as hell dont cut..dont stereotype...its gay...

now to the point..I have no problem with hollister/..one of my friends wears hollister. We pick on him, but were just messin around. So I mean the clothes domt make the person. I personally dont wear hollister, but I wear skate brands..but as I said..I see no problem with it..

Why? That's stupid, I wear Hollister, why would that be something to admit? Is it bad to wear nice looking cloths?
