Ok, i have a left handed fender precision from 1983.. when i play it it just seems hard to push down on the fretts.. i played a fender standard jazz and it was a piece of cake. What can i do, i think it has something to do with the action.

Patience is a virtue, btw. And don't double post when you get impatient.

There are a few threads out there on truss rod adjustment and this thread on the first page may be of some help here. https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=549634.

If after reading this you are still unsure of how to proceed, I would really take it to a luthier to have it checked out and adjusted professionally.

I wouldn't have adjusted the truss rod, adjust the saddle height on the bridge, if you don't know what you are doing the truss rod should be one of the last things you mess with

+1.

My bass strings around the 12th frett are nearly 1cm above the fretboard. I really could do with lowering the saddle on the bridge...

so the saddle is lowering or higher those little alen screws? or the philips head on the back of the bridge?
