Pff. Vox V847, thank you very much. Another wah pedal, only way better. Does classic rock/psychedelic/blues/anything other than ridiculously heavy metal very well.

Hey now, I just started not that long ago and I don't have a job yet... so it sucks, I'm saving up for a new guitar. But my parents said they buy me something soon, around easter, so I'm gonna see if they'll get me a pedal, and I am thinking about getting a wah.

So the Vox one is good?

The Vox is very good for classic rock and anything that isn't ridiculously distorted. I'd recommend that you wait for the A version if you get it, though. It's true bypass and comes with a 9v jack for the same price. And when it's on, it's the exact same tone.

I recommend the Electro-Harmonix Small Clone chorus, it really adds some sparkle to your cleans.

Sorry
Btw, isn't the mt-2 boss's best selling pedal...? plus mine is a modded one.

it might be..
still doesnt sound too good compared to other overdrive/distortion pedals

it probably only is the best selling pedal because all those starter-n00bs (no offense to anyone...we pretty much all were some time) think - "damn, that thing has so much distortion and its called "metal-something"...it must be good"

in the end...your tone really lacks through it...its just...noise...no tone

TS,
if youre gonna get a wah
i agree with the people that recommend the vox v847A
i have the v847 and its great for classic stuff

Whodicted

The Vox is an amazing wah, I myself own the V848, I think a Vox wah would be your best purchase.

Either get the V847A or the V848.

It's on the Vox site, but I haven't seen it anywhere else. I've heard it's coming out in April, though.

Hmm. Here's a quick wah question.

Which what does well with a lot of distortion?

Do you guys think the Vox 847A would be able to handle overdrive well at all?

I'm looking for a wah pedal also, and I'm trying to decide between the crybaby classic and the vox 847A. I'm going to be using it mainly with distortion (I like the boost it gives to my overdrive when you leave I leave the wah pedal in the treble position, at least with my bro's original crybaby I like it).

In the most extreme case, the most gain I would use would rival slash's overdriven wah sound/solos and neal schon's (journey's guitarist) solos.

So what do you guys think?
