Your intonation could be wrong - have you taken a look at that?

Maybe something is loose, the tuner or one of the bridge saddles maybe?

Is your nut broken? Is the string dead? Did you severely switch gauges and now need to redo your action and neck arc?

I was looking at a used Warwick Vampyre LTD 5'er for about $200. I went home to grab my wallet and came back and some jerk with an epic beard got it already..

I had ernie balls on before, now i'm using GHS Boomers, My nut is in good condition.

EDIT: I just changed the strings yesterday.

Which GHS Boomers? What's the gauge?

The stings you have on now are pretty light in gauge--if your EBs were even superslinkys, they run from .45-.100, which is a bit of difference.

Fitz may be onto something here, you may need to look at adjusting your action if you want to stay with the current string gauge.

Start with adjusting the saddle--the truss rod should be your last thing to adjust action or intonation.

There have been a few discussions as of late on this--check the forums or check with DinkyDaisy since she just went through this adjustment.

It is the nut. Same thing happened when I went from my Ernie Ball to my Rotosounds. The string vibrates in the nut because it doesn't hold it all the way. Put something in teh nut to keep the string from vibrating or invest in a few string trees and put em on right after the nut. Look for those Floyd Rose string trees!
#25
what do you suggest i put in the nut??

wouldn't you have to make holes to put on string trees?

^ First thing, learn how to use the edit button! Trust me! It is alot easier than replying twice!

Second thing, fill the nut with anything that will nto poke out into the first fret area. Like cut a toothpic in half, or take your crappiest pick, wedge it in there, and cut out anythign poking out.

And yes you will have to cut a drill hole for the string tree.. but it works! If you are not confedent to do it yourself, bring it to a guitar shop. If you get a new nut and no longer need it it is really easy to fil in the holes! With some wood puddy or toothpics, and a spot of nail varnish and it isnt' even noticable!

Ok, i definetly don't want to ruin my bass with tree strings, and my dad probably won't let me, i'll just ask him to help me with the toothpick. My dad suggested I put a piece of a drinking straw under it...

You know I installed some lovely flea GHS boomers this morning and the A string buzzed for a few hours. Its gone now so you might just want to let it rest a day or two and see if it makes a difference.

You guys should check out Leo Quans BadAss bridge, the new one... Instead of trying to fix your bridges, just replace them...

You can get them on Musicians Friend for like $70.

The American Fender factory started using them... so if they trust them, then you can too.

Good luck.
