Could someone please explain to me how the Vox AC30 works with the blendable normal and top boost channels. What is the diff between top boost and normal? and what does it mean by blendable? thanks

The top boost channel has more gain and a different sound, basically the OD channel.

Blendable means you can mix both the channels sounds together, you do this by buying an A/B/Y box and using the Y option.

There's a little switch on it which blends them, even though you just use one input.

so then i am assuming the two channels can work independent of each other and you can switch between the two using a foot pedal? Also how are the overdrive tones with this amp? Can it pull off a real crunchy nickelback like riff or does it need an additional distoration pedal to help?
