Ok so I'll cut straight to the point. I was thinking of getting a longboard, and then attaching a fan to the back, and then having a little pole (of light material) holding up a sheet of cloth as a sail. Then I would turn the fan on, and the sail would go up. I'm sure it would work when I'm off it, but do you think it would still go with me on it?

great idea... but its not gonna work with you on it
you need like a high powered industrial fan
try it out but the whole point of longboards (at least for me) is to go downhill, the sailboard would also look a little..... weird

You would need a ****ing good fan, a big board and you'd spend heaps of time getting all the weight and balance down. But seriously the fan is the biggest problem. Maybe if you just had the sail and used it like a windsurfer, people do that already i think.
If your parents never had children, chances are, you wont either.
