This public service announcement is brought to you by 'your favorite KNEWbie':

Hopefully, many UGers in the US who have pets are aware that there has been a problem with many brands of pet food. This was causing serious illness and in some cases death, due to liver and kidney failure. An unknown toxin was involved.

Scientists have now discovered the source. It was a rodenticide, present on wheat imported from China. Now that doctors know the exact toxin, it will be easier for them to administer effective treatment for the affected animals.

If any of you were not already aware of the problem, but your pets have been sick, talk to your Vet. If your pet has been affected, the sooner they get treatment, the better their chances.

good luck, and may God bless all your little critters.

S.Y.K.

maybe i should stop eating cat food.. i don't want kidney failure
I like analogue Solid State amps that make no effort to be "tube-like", and I'm proud of it...

...A little too proud, to be honest.

Oh my god...my dog has kidney failure...

Can you tell me what brand of foods this is referring to?

there are about 50 different brands.

i think they're all ultimately made by a company called 'Menu Foods".

iirc, they're all canned or in a pouch, not dry. but don't quote me on that.
