The El diablo es basically the 5150 but IMO a little meatier and has much better cleans. Great amp. Both of them are great.

yeah i agree i love the death metal sounds of the 5150 but they are a bit cold sounding when you listen to unearth or inflames etc. it has the triode option of a warmer darker sound whatever triode means.

IF you Pm a member called Crunchmiester he can help you more. He has an el diablo right now but used to have a 5150. he can give you a good overview

I love my 6505. I heard El Diablo are more like JCM 800 with more gain. And BTW, the 5150 only sounds Death Metal if you want it to sound Deah Metal. I can get any rock/hard rock/metal sound with it so.

The El Diablo is definitely a good amp, but I gotta tell ya; that clip was disgusting! NEVER scoop your mids to 0. EVER. I'll put some of it to youtubes bad sound quality, but... ew.

^ agreed. IF anything boost your mids. My mids on both my JSX and MArk 4 are at 9, and on the graphic EQ its a mid boost.
