hey so uhh yeah im a bit stuck on one of my physics experiment write ups

i have to find out the acceleration of a falling object down a slope and yeah i have the time and velocity and i know the formula for acceleration is change in velocity divided by time

but i was wondering if by change of velocity it means the speed it is now take away the one it was before

for example...
if the velocity was .7 m/s in one time interval of .1 second and the one before that it was .41 m/s does that mean it would be...

.7-.41 divided by .1 ?

acceleration = (final velocity - initial velocity)/time taken

edit: with (final velocity - initial velocity) being the change in velocity, so yeah that's right

yeah it was for a object that was still and then dropped down a ramp and the results were gathered by a ticker timer haha
