I though UG were being harsh without having a drums thread, etc. So i made one.

What's your drum setup/kit? etc.?

Mine =

Pearl EXR Standard Strata Blue Kit.
Pearl SMX-14555 Session Custom Snare.
Pearl P2002C PowerShifter Eliminator Double Pedal.
Zildjian A Custom Fast Crash.
Zildjian ZXT Rock Crash.
Zildjian Custom K Ride.
Sabian B8 Rock Pack.

Been playing about 4 or 5 years now. YOu need a decent kit after so long...

I hear you, but seriously there is www.pearldrummersforum.com, it's nearly as big as UG.

My current kit is:

Premier Cabria (XPK really) in Blue Diamond 5 piece 12" 13" 16" 22" 14" snare
Iron Cobra double Pedal
Zildijain Avedis 2x20" rides, 14" Newbeat hi hats (all 60's)

I use vater 7A manhatten sticks because they never seem to break!
Squier Classic Vibe Custom
Vox Pathfinder 15R
Fender Jazz Bass

I have been playing drums for about 8-9 months. I have a Pulse drumset with a broken highhat stand, a broken snare head, and a stand that always falls over, that I got for free.

Don't laugh at because I don't have a job.

Hey, drummer here, I joined these forums here because it was the first result of a music forum search and seemed pretty cool. I also play acoustic guitar and abit of electric when I feel bluesy.

Here's my setup as displayed on my MySpace profile, (link's in my forum profile).

I love this drumkit, it's beautiful and delivers awsome kick!

Ergh, image quality is crud, go here MySpace!

I've played the drums once, it was fun because I was pretty drunk and my best friend's wasted girlfriend was cheering me on.

My set is a POS, and I've been playing for 4 years. The only reason I don't buy a better one is that I'm way more into guitar. But my set consists of:

CB Drums 5 piece set
Zildjian hi-hats and crash/ride (don't know the series, they're way too old and I bought 'em used)
Sabian B8 crash
No-name (I literally could not find a brand on it) double bass pedal

It's great, the toms are also nice and big, keep lookin', your local music store should be able to order a kit for you if you've got the money.

It's a great kit, it looks so classy, I don't have a photo of it, I don't have a phone camera nor a digicam... pretty far behind on technology, but this is the finish I got!

I have the silver finish, it's sex.

Oh and I'm buying a Pearl Vinnie Paul Sig snare soon, just because I saw it in a shop it is nice and fat and has a SNAKESKIN FINISH, so it's got nothin' to do with ol' Vin, just love it's look and 'umph'!

I play the schools Yamaha 5 piece, unfortuantly, i've never had room for drums, but i've played 3 years on and off.

Nah, I've been playing for a few weeks but that's it.

I'm not really sure what my set is, I got it for free from one of my dad's friends at his work since his son quit the drums. It's pretty decent, he said it was about $500-$600, of course it wasn't in mint condition, but nothing was broke.

Pfft. It dosent matter what kit it is, you can make it sound good. It's like if you gave a flamenco player a cheapy nylon acoustic, he could make it shred.

I played on my friend's electric kit once. I thought it would be easier if the hi-hat was a pedal and the bass drum a normal drum that you hit with a stick.
