My pc is making no sound. I know my speakers work. I reinstalled the drivers for my sound card and ran the diagnostic piece of software that came with the drivers and that said everything was fine. My pc remains silent. Is my sound card broken?

it's not muted. I'm getting a new laptop soon, so getting a new sound card isn't a priority for m. It's just slightly annoying.

Have you used any illegal fire sharing programs lately? Those always mess up my soundcard.
