Yeah, they had a track on the 'In the City' iTunes compilation last year that was pretty decent.

A while back I was in Birmingham with some mates, and The Wombats were doing a gig in HMV. Unfortunately they only let my friends in and not me, so I sat on a bench opposite the store reading a newspaper. I still heard them though. They were alright.

The power to feel with others give.

Yeah, like a few already mentioned, I saw them supporting The Holloways.
Saw em at the Junction, Cambridge.
Very good actually - kill the director indeed.
Still prefer the Holloways though: So This Is Great Britain.
Fantastic.
Its times like these you learn to live again. If you even knew in the first place.

awful band.

A. I need to see them live. So much.
B. Come to New York, Wombats.
C. Just got the CD, so good. So good.

EDIT: They're going to be in the city on the 17th of March. I'll be home in Maryland from the 14th to the 23rd. Hate my life. Love blunt sentences.

I bought the CD yesterday, and honestly, I can't make my mind up.

One line they're witty, thoughtful and original, and then by the next they're just another obnoxious Brit-pop band. The fact they're so inconsistent puts me off, but then the quality and charm of those really good moments keeps drawing me back in.

The jury's out folks.

Couldn't agree more. They seem like an average band, but when you listen to them, they have witty lyrics and clever songs.

Watching their JD set, its not too bad.
