I can't tell from the picture, but if you're unsure, ask for some closer pictures and proof of authenticity.

don't bump your thread after only 30 minutes
its a forum
it takes some time to get answers

looks like some of the parts on that guitar have been changed
if youre serious about buying ask for proof that its american made (serial number helps)

The trem is 2-point so it looks like an MIA strat, but why does it have 2 string trees?

You can't determine if it's legit or not >_>.

Give them a call and yes, tell them to give you closer pictures. If it's 600 USD for that, then it's a steal...but it seems too good to be true.

Seems like the real deal to me, Highway 1s have "stratocaster" in really big letters on the headstock, and Americans have it in small letters, check the fender site.

EDIT:What you should really do is get in touch with the guy and ask for the serial number, that way you can check and see for sure.

That's why I said it would be an OLDER H1 with the modern headstock, not the 70's headstock.

And my guess would be it's a used standard American Strat that is in rough shape.

You won't get crap for it. Sell it on eBay.

Damn I just called, i'd only get store credit anyway. I wonder how much I could get for it on ebay.

You could probably get $375 or something for it on eBay. That's if it's like mint condition.

Music stores have a reputation to protect, but as a rule play before you buy. I don't trust mail order for that amount of cash.

its used gear... it is a respectable shop id purchase from them... they are a chain of stores... ive been to a few around me and everything is what they say it is on the website... im tempted by a deluxe strat with lace sensors right now they have on sale...

Edit: by the way if any of you buy it, ill kill you... im not kidding

if it's used, that might actually be a bit high.

Cheap amps are "that bad". They suck up your tone like cocaine at Kate Moss' party.

I haven't bought a guitar from them but the Music Go Round near me is great when it comes to customer service. Still, I wouldn't buy a guitar unless I've played it first.
And the for that price you should be able to find an American with a hardshell case.
