My drummer and I have been jamming about once or twice a week. (I've been playing bass.)

But we need some tips to help us make sure our practices are productive.

We're both pretty decent at our instruments, but we're clueless when it comes to playing together. How do we make sure we're in time and stuff like that?

We've played along with the cd once, and it only sort of worked.

We want to start getting "Know your Enemy" and "Guerrilla Radio" down good so we can be ready for a guitarist.

Advice and tips please?

When you jam, you gotta improvise. Improv is the key to finding a good riff or lick. If you come up with some sweet riff or lick during your improv, remember it, write it down, and apply it to a song structure!
