im currently playing through a 25 watt ibanez amp, and i would like to upgrade to a bigger one so i could gig shows and not sound awfull.

so, willll you recommend me a not THAT expensive amp thats like 50-70 watts or so, i dont care if its stack/combo.

my budget is like 700 dollars, so i understand i cant get a tube amp, but i would want the best for that price, K?

im into GnR, Vai, Satch, Gilbert, Metallica, and i also need a good clean channle since i want to play some RHCP to.

thanks

Peavey Windsor. It will nail that JCM 800 tone, which you seem to dig. Just sacrifice some cleans.

you want a JCM800 / Orange rocer 30 tone at a budget for those tones:

Peavey windsor.

It's voiced around the JCM800 but with a bit more gain.

I read it only had a clean channel...so will i have to get an overdrive pedal?

and someone told me, that theres somwthing fishy about the Peavy Windsdor.....he said "why would a TUBE amp cost so cheap? theres something fishy about that...."

but he was drunk at the time,so....

The Windsors cleans aren't that great though.. I think you're better off with a DSL which has great cleans for a Marshall and it also has that JCM800 crunch and even more gain without having to use an overdrive pedal.
But the Mesa/Boogie DC-3 is a great amp too, you will get the tones you're looking for with that one

if you need good cleans, don't buy a dsl

Yes, it ain't Fender clean but a DSL has good cleans.. check this: http://youtube.com/watch?v=MeJ98sY0VCA

If you want that tube 'magic' then I don't recommend the Peavey Valveking, I find that to sound OK but it hasn't that tube feel like when you plug in for example a Fender Hotrod and play one chord on the clean channel. Or the DSL that has great crunch and rumble in it. In my opinion the cleans are very tight (compared to Fender) but they're good, you can certainly get that RHCP sound with it.

Hahaha...what the threadstarter forgot to mention is that he's from ISRAEL which limits his options by a ton, because we don't get many tube amps here and what we do get are all very expensive.

Dude, I manage a guitar store in Ramat Hasharon. Call me tomorrow at 03-5473613 between 12:00-20:00, I'll you hook you up with a nice amp.
