well im wondering i know that when a tablature says this for example:

7h9 it means that you play the seven and put another finger on 9 without plucking the string again. but i saw this and didnt know what it meant:

7h

cheers.

Can you copy and paste the piece of tab that you found that in because I can honestly only think that the fret to hammer-on to was missed out by mistake....

|-------------------------9-9-9h11-----11p9--------11p9----
|-----7h9-9p7----7h9-9/11-------------------11----------11-
|-7h9---------9h-------------------------------------------

umm what i understand as hammering is when you play 2 frets and play the string once,
how am i supposed to hammer it with only 1 fret?
#6
erm. just hit that fret with your finger lol, its simple as it sounds, it would be easier to show you but, yeah.
#7
so its the exact same thing as if the 9 didnt have the h next to it ??
#8
no just slam your finger on the 9 without plucking it. it would be like 0h9 but dont pluck the open string.

yes but you don't actually pick it, you just hammer your finger on it. think of it like tapping.
