I'd love an 8 string fretless. And some of those godlyke basses are lovely!

They don't really do it for me, but I do like Troy Sanders' live tone he gets playing them.

talking about that man beast, at Download he was playing a silverburst P bass with a J/P pickup combo... anyone know what model that could potentially be? I generally don't like P-Basses, but I'd get me one of those.

at the video, he makes it sound like some kind of bass porno with the "money shot".

I read about the Diety 10 string in a magazine a couple months back. I've been interested in trying one.

Troy Sanders is a Godlyke endorser. I have dozens of photos of him with and playing Godlykes in various bass magazines.

Anyway... that 10-string is a great axe, and I would totally use it, but sorry, those basses start at $4500. The 5A top and other features that are on that specific model cost even more. It's nice and all, but sorry, I'd never pay $4500 for a Japanese made bass... ever.

I was looking at a used Warwick Vampyre LTD 5'er for about $200. I went home to grab my wallet and came back and some jerk with an epic beard got it already..

guys, after much search, i finally found a video of Mastodon's Troy Sanders playing his godlyke bass live... please, listen to this brutal tonal weapon of apocaliptic destruction so you see my obsession with it is quite justified:

plus, its just a soundcheck, hes not really singing like they would live..... the song is called "Seabeast" and theyre one of my fav bands...
