Okay so I've been really wanting a Jackson KV2 but the one I truly want is only possible through the custom shop and that would be pretty expensive(one BL pup, Sperzel tuners) But the finish I want is already a stock option(ferrari red w/ black bevels) so my question is should I save more for the custom or just swap out one pup and just live with what normal USA one would be?
Thanks

Yeah I think the pup swap would be the smarter move. Would there really be a difference in the quality of the two?

Not really. A custom is built from the ground up by hand where a mass production model is machine built, ran over by hand, and then shipped. The difference in quality becomes almost nothing if you play it for years. A friend of mine's American strat plays and sounds so much better than another friends custom-shopped strat. $1500 will NEVER outdo a good 5 years of playing on the instrument.
