I don't think you're staying in key so get some scales and learn them so you can stay in key.
#9
well i talked to someone else about it
and he said their were a few sour notes off but not bad
i dont know,
i just tryed haha
and seriously, i know some scales, and tried ot use them, but only certain part sof them,
and no, like not go down a scale, just use part of a Dminor, stay there, then go to another haha

Yeah um... it doesnt sound minor-ish at all, in fact it doesnt seem like youre in a key at all?
If you can't hear it yourself, maybe you should get some ear-practicing so you can notice what notes are off.. the bends are pretty painful too, long out-drawn bends only sound good if you hit a good note ( you might want to start with bending to the root only).

I like your guitar-tone though!

Really....

6th Fret On The A Would be a D#/Ab Root Note....

5th Fret Is D Root and 7th Fret would be the E Root.

When you play a scale in Major or Minor you don't change the root note of the scale pattern.

Here, I'll help you out a bit - THEORY TIME!

D MAJOR
-------------------------------------
-------------------------------------
-------------------4--6--7---------
---------4--5--7-------------------
--5--7-----------------------------
------------------------------------

D MINOR
-------------------------------------
-------------------------------------
-----------------------5--7---------
------------5--7--8----------------
--5--7--8--------------------------
------------------------------------

D HARMONIC MINOR
-------------------------------------
-------------------------------------
-----------------------6--7---------
------------5--7--8----------------
--5--7--8--------------------------
------------------------------------

You raise the 7th Note in the D Minor to get the Harmonic Minor - So the 7th note would be a C, You make the C and C#.

D MELODIC MINOR (P1)
-------------------------------------
-------------------------------------
-------------------4--6--7---------
------------5--7--------------------
--5--7--8--------------------------
------------------------------------

To get the Melodic Minor you raise the 6th AND 7th note up. So the 6th note will become a B from Bb and the C will become C# again.

The thing with the melodic minor - I think i'm right on this is that it changes on the way down back to the normal D minor... So it would be come this on the way down

D MELODIC MINOR (P2)
-------------------------------------
-------------------------------------
--5---------------------------------
-----8--7--5------------------------
----------------8-7-5--------------
------------------------------------

Lesson Over. This should help you a bit with your D Minor Soloing.
