This may be a dumb question but i know that for different song styles (blues, country rock, etc), there are specific common chord progressions. For example, one i know is a blues progression which would be a 1st-5th-7th, like a E*8-A*4-E*4-B*4-A*4-E*8 type blues progression. My question is what other common progressions are there?

Firstly E A E B A E would be a I V I V IV I progression.

I IV V is common in rock

I I I I
IV IV I I
V IV I V is the 12 bar blues. Make them all _7 chords if you want.

ii V I is common in jazz.

Also, this will show you how to make chord progressions
