I Will Follow You Into The Dark by Death Cab for Cutie is pretty sappy and acoustic, if somewhat emo. Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd and Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley (originally by Leonard Cohen, but Buckey's is guitar) are also good.

yea, but perhaps this was meant to be...
there could be a handful of stoners somewhere in Jersey that are on the verge of creating a new metal...a new thrash metal...

...or were all screwed =]

good ridance doesnt make sense.
its a song saying goodbye, not i love you.

as for the death cab one, possible if you can get the weird fingerpicking down in a day

EDIT: Does this really belong in the pit?

There are a few YouTube videos on it, I just learned it yesterday. Not too hard once you get the pattern down.

You can't learn a simple chord progression in a day or less?
Good luck to you, my friend.

I agree with "I Will Follow You Into the Dark" by Deathcab for Cutie
or "Hey There Delilah" by Plain White T's

Why didn't I think of that?
This guy wins.

Learn the song "Off By Heart" by City and Colour/Dallas Green. It'll be a BIG plus if you can sing the lyrics while playing, because they're very pretty, and go perfectly with the guitar.

the remedy acoustic version by jason mraz. Good song, it has some fast singing though, so you have to memorize a lot of lyrics
I award gold stars to those who please me.
