I have a 50th anniversary american deluxe strat and its really sweet; noiseless pickups and S-1 switching. I've never played a vintage one so I can't really compare it.

An early 60's or late 50's Sonic blue Strat.

WHY IS EVERYONE IN THE PIT A FUCKING METALCORE KID

I hate to seem like an anti-traditionalist. but the VG strat is pretty freakin sick.

Same here. I also have the 50th anniv 1954 Masterbuilt. I like the Deluxe better.

Anything Fender Custom Shop I'd give a miss. The factory stuff is quite good already.
Not interested in anything "Sig" (is no one embarassed to buy a Strat that has
"SRV" on the pickguard?! )

Right now, I'd really like to try a VG. That might be my top pick.
