after 2 and a half years, i've decided to sort out my bad habits pretty late, one of those is that i don't use my pinky much when playing

i'm working on it as it seems essential in order to progress more successfully (in areas such as sweeping and shredding)

but it hurts! about 15 minutes into practising my exercises my pinky just can't take it. it also gets really weak after about 10 minutes of play (flattens etc)

how long will this last? is there any way to make it less bad??

thanks for any help

Make sure you don't twist in a weird way when playing, and keep practicing.

About a year ago I felt like I could improve my playing much more my using my 'pinky', so I started being more disciplined, and started paying more attention to my fingering...

It definetely helps!
